Thomas Trammell

Thomas Trammell, 80 , passed away on October 8, 2020. He was born on June 28, 1940, in El Campo, Texas, to Herman and Elaine (Cornelson) Trammell. He is preceded in death by his parents; Herman and Elaine (Cornelson) Trammell and wife Judy (Ibison) Trammell and brother, Samuel Trammell.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years Lydia Gray Trammell. Children: Paul and wife Karmen, Dennis and wife, Cindy, Rick Gray, Priscilla Cook and husband, Jon Cook. Grandchildren: Kara Hapgood, Madi Trammell, Matt Trammell, Nate Trammell; great-grandchildren, Kasper Austin.

Thomas enjoyed the great outdoors, including hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping.  He was happiest when he was outdoors enjoying the mountains with all the rocks, animals, and scenery.  He enjoyed dancing and listening to western swing music and was always up for a good fish fry.  He loved to tease and play practical jokes and spend time with family.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2020, from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Pecos Funeral Home, 607 W. 3rd Street, Pecos, Texas 79772.

Funeral service will be Friday, October 16, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, 101 Houston Street, Balmorhea, Texas 79718 with interment to follow at Balmorhea Cemetery, Balmorhea, Texas.

Due to COVID19 visitation will be limited to the immediate family only, up to 40 persons, and masks are required inside the funeral home. Attendance at the church may be subject to different restrictions, however masks are encouraged at both the church and the cemetery.
