A year later, Bill promoted her to jewelry repair tackling both jewelry and watch repair. After Bill and Jo Evelyn Cooksey took over Fonville Jewelry, Ludy became more engaged and attended watch repair school, and received certifications in watch repair from Pulsar, Seiko, Rolex, and many more. Ludy and her best friend Rosa Carrasco worked and gained the trust of the Fonville and Cooksey families developed a family bond with those families.
