Larry "Wiz" Anaya

Larry Anaya of Pecos, Texas passed away on Thursday September 15, 2022 in Pecos, Texas. Larry was born in Pecos, Texas to Domingo and Cruz Anaya on October 15, 1962. He graduated from Pecos High School and attended Odessa College. He retired after many years as a Prison Correctional Officer at Reeves county Detention Center in Pecos, Tx., and recently took a part time job with the Postal Services.

Larry is preceded in death by our beloved Mother Cruz, Anaya, Grandparents Felix and Maria Rodriguez,  Aunts Freda Griffin, Lidia Bitolas and Susie Rodriguez.

Larry is survived by his daughter Kelly Anaya and Husband Jesse Martinez from Odessa, TX. Sister Aida Leyva and Husband Bobby Leyva from Kermit, TX. Brothers GilbertAnaya and Wife Cely from Odessa, TX,  Jesse Anaya from Pecos, TX, Rene Anaya of Midland, Tx, and his Father Domingo Anaya from Pecos, TX. Grandchildren Desiree Martinez, twins Aubree and Khloe Martinez, Jesse Martinez Jr., Uncle Reyes Rodriguez and Wife Norena, Uncle Manual Rodriguez, Niece Laura Soto, Husband Alex Daughters Analiyah and Alexi from Midland, TX and Nephew Matt Leyva and Daughter Adria from Odessa, TX also many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and Friends.

Pallbearers are Jesse Martinez, Gilbert Anaya, Rene Anaya, Bobby Leyva, Matt Levya, and Jacob Rodriguez.

Visitation and rosary will be held at Pecos Funeral Home Monday September 26, 2022from 9a.m to 9p.m and the Rosary starting at 7p.m.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday September 27, 2022 at Barstow Catholic Church at 10a.m. with the funeral following at the Barstow Cemetery.
