Richard Jose “Ricky” Y. Arreguy, 67 of Pecos, TX died in a tragic motor vehicle accident Thursday, January 19, 2023.He was born Sept 13, 1955, in Pecos, TX to Narcissa and Rafael “Frenchie” Arreguy. He was the youngest of 7 siblings. He graduated from Burbank Senior High school in Sacramento California. He was very proud of his time in the Marine Corps. He returned to Pecos, TX married Delma Dutchover and they raised their three children Terrance, Ricky, and Stephanie with love and support. Ricky worked as a truck driver for Winkles Trucking Co, then as a plant operator at Pennzoil/Duval Sulphur Mine (18yrs.), and retired as a truck driver. His favorite pastimes were golfing, spending time with his friends, grilling, listening to Tejano music, and always watching his RAIDERS.
His passing is preceded by his parents Rafael and Narcissa Arreguy, his brother Yhinio “Gene” Arreguy, and sisters Josefina Valencia, Adela Salcido, and Rose Mary “Rosie” Marta.
Ricky is survived by his ex-wife Delma Dutchover, and their children Stephanie Arreguy of Pecos, Terrance Arreguy and wife Carmen of Pecos, Richard Arreguy and wife Linda of Houston, and his grandchildren John Paul, Julissa, Richard Jr., Samantha, Sophie, and Thomas. His brothers Bobby Arreguy and Ralph Arreguy and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January, 26, 2023 at Pecos Funeral Home from 10 am to 9 pm with Rosary at 7pm.
Funeral Mass will be on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10 am at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church, Interment will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
