Ramon Franco

Ramon R. Franco 92, of Pecos passed away Wednesday April 22, 2020 at Midland Memorial Hospital. He was born November 21, 1927 in Pecos, to Francisco and Rosalia Ramos Franco. He married Isabel Minjarez February 12, 1959 in Carlsbad, N Mx. He was a retired supervisor and a Christian Catholic. He was an Army reservist during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed tinkering with anything that basically had a gas motor in it. He was considered a handy man basically building his house from a two bedroom to a four-bedroom house. He loved dancing, listening to music and cooking asado and chicharrones, but most of all he loved his grandchildren. Dad you will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Francisca F. Ramirez and brother Jesus Franco. Ramon is survived by his wife of 61 years Isabel Franco of Pecos, daughters Elizabeth Cruz and husband Cesar of Bartsow, Maria F. Martinez and husband Ernesto and Virginia Franco all of Midland, sons Ramon Franco Jr of Rocksprings, Wy., George Franco and wife Manuela of Eunice, N Mx., Francisco Franco and wife Lisa of Corpus Christi and Israel Franco and wife Kristy of Midland, sister Estefana ‘Chita’ Franco of Firebaugh, Ca., brothers Ventura Franco of Fresno, Ca., and Martin Franco of Pecos. Ramon also leaves to cherish his memory 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Graveside services are set for 10 am Friday April 24, 2020 at Mount Evergreen Cemetery with Father Jose DelaCruz officiating.
