Lylia “Beth” Collier

Mrs. Lylia “Beth” Collier passed away from this life Sunday morning, May 14, 2023, in League City.

Beth was born in Stamford on December 23, 1931, to Lyle and Bessie (Skiles) Adams. She was a natural when it came to cooking. Something which came in handy while raising 3 children. She loved being a stay-at-home mother and as her children grew, she found some new hobbies. Beth was a volunteer at the West of the Pecos Museum, Fairview Cemetery Board and was a Pink Lady at the Reeves County Hospital Auxiliary. Her true passion and gift was horticulture. Anything Beth touched, it thrived. This was true for most of the people who were touched by Beth as well. She was a fun loving, sassy lady who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle Brinley and Bessie Emeline (Skiles) Adams; husband, Loy Collier; sisters, Eunita Pace, Sylvia Coulter, Baby Girl Adams; brothers, Kenneth Adams, Wendell Adams; grandson, Stephen Harrison, Jr.; fur baby, Boots Scoots Collier.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Holcombe; sons, Bill Harrison and wife, Theresa, Bruce Harrison and wife, Danna, Ronnie Collier and wife, Debbie; brothers, Alfred Adams, Ronnie Adams; sisters, Peggy Crumby, Lavern Cowan, Linda Hinton; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. –12:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Harrison, Bryce Harrison, Christopher Lescombes, Dustin Lescombes, Jason Lescombes and Marius Lescombes.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Beth’s name to West of the Pecos Museum, 120 E Dot Stafford Street, Pecos, TX 79772 or the Reeves Regional Health Auxiliary Committee, 2349 Medical Drive, Pecos, TX 79772.
