BALMORHEA, TEXA

Lino Flores Barragan 81 of Balmorhea passed away Thursday May 28, 2020 at the Reeves County Memorial Hospital. He was born November 2, 1938 in Candelaria, Texas to Ramon and Cristina Flores Barragan. He was Married to Manuela M. Barragan for over fifty years until her passing December 8, 2018. He was a Christian believer and a retired rancher.

Lino was very family oriented; he had good working ethics that he instilled in his children. He loved working with horses, loved cooking, listening to music and dancing. He loved his grandchildren and especially loved and feared God.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Manuela M Barragan, daughter Norma Barragan, sisters Sylvia Ornelas, Adela Villareal, Paula Sanchez, and Luciana Anaya. Brother Ramon Barragan.

He is survived by daughter Irma Dominguez and husband Jimmy of Fort Stockton, sons Jimmy Barragan and wife Teri and Rene Barragan all of Balmorhea sister Hermilla B Escontrias of Odessa, brothers Luis Barragan and wife Alicia of Levelland, Efrain Barragan and wife Connie, Armando Barragan and wife Mary, Rodrigo Barragan and wife Mary and Ervey Barragan and wife Isabela all of Odessa

Lino also leaves to cherish his memory 7-grandchildren 11 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 only 50 persons allowed for visitation which is set for Monday June 1, 2020 from 9am-4pm with a family prayer service at 2pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services are set 10am Tuesday June 2, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Balmorhea with Brother Rosendo Carrasco officiating. COVID-19 rules also apply at the church. Masks are required.

Burial will follow at Balmorhea Cemetery.
