Jesus "Jesse" Solis

Jesus “Jesse “ Solis of Pecos, TX passed away on Saturday April 29, 2023 in Colorado City, TX. He was born in Pecos, TX to Gilberto and Socorro Solis on December 5, 1976. He went to School in Pecos. He worked as an Automation Technician for Blitz Services LLC. Jesse loved talking about his family and was extremely proud of all his nieces and nephews. He was especially close to his nephew Mario whom he enjoyed spending time with and going fishing. Jesse never met a stranger and he didn’t have an enemy. He leaves behind several close friends, most of whom he grew up with in Pecos and others he met along the way. Jesse would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it more than him. He always had a smile on his face and would go above and beyond to make people happy. He loved to volunteer and helping with fundraisers.

Jesse loved all sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. In his youth he played football and baseball and ran track for his beloved Pecos Eagles. He enjoyed helping out in all youth sports and at the boxing gym where he met many talented young boxers and trainers. He liked getting away any chance he had to use his kayak and go fishing. He enjoyed playing the accordion and only a select few heard him sing.

Jesse went to work in the DFW Area to be close to family. He recently moved back to Pecos to work for BLITZ Services LLC. He loved his job and spoke very highly about his bosses and coworkers. Jesse will be greatly missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his mother Socorro Solis and baby sister Rosario Solis.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his father Gilberto Solis, brothers; Juan Antonio (Veronica) of Ciudad del Carmen Mexico; Mario (Alicia) of Laredo, TX ; Gilbert (Alicia) of Odessa, TX ; Rosario (Connie) of Irving, TX; Jabier (Veronica) of Arlington TX; Oscar (Anna) of Pecos, TX; Daniel (Elizabeth) of Denton, TX; and Isaac of New York, NY; sisters Maria Rayos (Bobby) of Buda, TX; Josie Valles (Bobby) of Arlington, TX, several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and several cousins.

Pallbearers: Juan Antonio Solis, Gilbert Solis, Rosario Solis, Jabier Solís, Oscar Solis, Daniel Solis, Isaac Solis, Mario A. Solis, Sammy Flores and Timmy Garcia.

Funeral mass will be held in Pecos, TX. Viewing will be at Pecos Funeral Home on Thursday May 4, 2023 starting at 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm followed by the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass will be on Friday May 5, 2023 at Santa Rosa Church at 2:00 pm. Private burial to be held at later date. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
