Irene Alba

Irene Alba, 64, passed on August 28, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas, after a short illness.  Irene was born in Pecos, Texas, on March 31, 1957 to David Alba and Irene Berlanga Alba.Irene was a hard worker. Irene began working at an early age alongside her mother and siblings in the cotton fields of Pecos Texas. She began her career in 1981 at what is now known as the Reeves County Hospital District.

Irene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And again, worked at whatever assignment she was given, with all her heart and energy. Her love for the Savior, Jesus Christ never wavered, and she shared her thoughts of Him and tried to be a true Christian disciple her entire life.

Irene, lived with her father and mother, holding her father as he passed from this world. She cared for her mother through many illnesses, mourning her death which caused a deep sorrow in her life.

Irene is survived her siblings, David Alba, Humberto Alba, Armando Alba, Ana Celia Alba Lewis, Gloria Alba Rubio and Mario Alba.

Irene loved her 22 nieces and nephews. Indeed, Irene was a woman who loved people and everyone who knew her loved her as well. She had hundreds of people she could count as a friend. She was sensitive and generous to people’s needs.

Irene will be greatly missed and always remembered.

There will be a viewing for Irene from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday September 10, 2021 at the Pecos Funeral Home, 607 W 3rd Street, Pecos, Texas, Mask are required at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 9  am on Saturday September 11th at the same location. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.
