Florentino Abila

Florentino Abila, 83, of Barstow, Texas was called home for Christmas on December 24, 2020. Florentino was born on October 16, 1937 to Jose Abila and Consuelo Rodriguez Abila, he was a resident of Barstow all his Life and was a Catholic.

In 1957 he married Isabell Garcia they were married for 50 years. Florentino and Isabell were blessed with 8 children. Florentino Abila was a loving, caring, humble and devoted to his family. He would say he was the riches man on earth not much of money but much with a big family.

Florentino Abila was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren fishing, and spending time with them.

Florentino Abila, is preceded in death by his parents; Jose and Consuelo Abila, wife Isabell Abila, daughter Veronica Abila, son; Carlos Abila, grandson Michael Gurule, sister Miquella Raygoza.

He is survived by daughters; Mary Ramirez of Odessa, Tx., Margie and Tito Flores of Fort Stockton, Ricky Abila of Barstow, Tx., Alfredo Abila of Barstow, Tx., and Jimmy Abila of Barstow, Tx.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 29, 2020 from 9am-4pm. at Pecos Funeral Home and Graveside service on Wednesday at 10am at the Barstow Cemetery in Barstow, Tx.

Due to the Covid-19 only 25 immediate person are in the Funeral home masks and social distancing is required at all times. At the graveside family and friends are invited to attend also with social distancing and wearing masks.
