Cresencio Tarin was born in La Magdalena, Chihuahua to Raul Tarin and Monserrat Sandoval on November 2, 1944. He married his love of many years, Sarah Vasquez. He worked as a feedlot foreman for Reeves County Feeders for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Raul Tarin; his mother, Monserrat Sandoval; his brother, Ramon Tarin; his sister, Mary Jenks, and his son, Randy Licon. Chano is survived by his wife, Sarah Vasquez, his children: Donna Tarin, Rachel Barrera, Rodolfo “Fito” Tarin, and Daniel Tarin, his sisters: Munda Gutierrez, Luz Maria LaRochelle, Simona Navarrette, and Teresa Barragan; his brothers, Herman Tarin and Victor Tarin; and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Christopher Anthony Baeza, Phoenix Granado, Jorge Baeza, Doane Tarin, Chris Barragan and Levon Barragan.

Chano was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and son. He was a lifelong Catholic. He was a simple man of few words. He enjoyed joking and laughing, singing at the top of his lungs, and listening to the radio. In the face of long years of failing health, he exhibited quiet strength, courage, dignity and grace. One of his greatest joys was being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was affectionately called “Tata” by his children and grandchildren.

The family of Chano wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Buena Vida Nursing Home and Interim Healthcare of Midland.
