Wesley D Harpham 97 of Pecos passed away on August 7, 2018 at Reeves County Hospital.
Family will receive friends on Friday August 10, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 11, 2018 at 9:00 AM at First Christian Church with Gordon Hoyt Officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery with Military honors will be provided by the Border Patrol Honor Guard and the VFW and his grandson Thomas Hyatt will play the Bag Pipes.
Wesley David Harpham was born in Kenesaw, Nebraska to Samuel and Maude Harpham on Jan. 19, 1921. He attended school in Kenesaw.
He married Lena Mae Gallivan on October 20, 1946 in Caldwell, Idaho.
He worked as a detention Officer for the US Border Patrol for 20 Years.
He was a Veteran of War War II and served in the Navy on the USS Frazier. He was awarded numerous medals. He was involved in the Pecos Masonic Lodge and El Madia Shrine of Temple. He received the Golden Trowel award from Pecos Valley Masonic Lodge no. 736. He was also a 32nd degree mason and belonged to the Scottish Rite Temple in El Paso.
Wesley Harpham Is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Maude Harpham, Sister Ruby Maude Harpham, Brother Ernest Clynn Harpham and Samuel Virgil Harpham.
Wesley Harpham is survived by his wife Lena Mae Harpham and his Four Daughters: Linda Gibbens and husband Scotty, Sharon Hunter and husband Ken, Mona Hyatt and husband Bill, Marsha Dallmon.
He has 10 grandkids, 20 Great-Grandkids and 10 Great-Great-Grandkids.
Memorials may be made to the Shrine Hospital for Children.
