Virginia Garcia Flores, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and woman of deep faith, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, at the age of 91.
Virginia was born on June 8, 1935, in Pecos, Texas, to Jose Francisco Garcia DeLeon and Julia Salcido Garcia Marquez. She attended Jesus and Mary Commercial Academy, a private school in El Paso, Texas, where she graduated from high school. Throughout her life, Virginia was devoted to her family and her Catholic faith, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, faith, and beautiful memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Her faith was an important part of her life. Virginia was a devoted member of the Sociedad Guadalupana ministry and prayer group at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church, where she shared in fellowship, prayer, and service to her church community.
Virginia also had a special love and talent for flowers. She took great pride and joy in owning her own flower shop, where her creativity could be seen in the beautiful floral arrangements she lovingly created. Through her flowers, she brought beauty and joy to countless celebrations and special moments throughout the years.
Above all, Virginia treasured her family. She was the loving mother of Saul Rolando Flores and his wife, Debbie Flores; Jesse Flores; Jaime "Jimmy" Flores and his wife, Kimberly Flores; and Melissa Ouazzani and her husband, Moncif Ouazzani. She was also a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 8 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus "Chuy" Flores; her beloved son, Jesse Flores; her parents, Jose Francisco Garcia DeLeon and Julia Salcido Garcia Marquez; and her siblings, Alvaro Garcia and Hortencia Garcia.
Virginia's 91 years were filled with family, faith, creativity, and love. Her beautiful spirit and the memories she created will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.
May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her husband, son, parents, and loved ones, and surrounded by the beauty and love she shared throughout her life.
