Velma Minjarez was born on July 22, 1943, in Balmorhea, Texas to Enrique Rodriguez and Elvira Galindo.

She departed this life on September 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever live in our hearts.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM with rosary to be held at 7:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home. Mass will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas with burial to take place at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.

She lived a life rooted in father, family and service to others. Velma was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sister, and a cherished friend. She was an active member of her church and found great joy in her family, her faith, and helping those around her. Her kindness, strength and unwavering love touched the lives of many.

Velma is preceded in death by her husband Anastacio Minjarez along with many loving family members and friends.

Left to cherish Velma’s memory are her children Steven Minjarez, and Michael Minjarez along with siblings Enrique Rodriguez Jr., Faye Valles, Edna Martinez, Diana Rayos, Pricilla Rodriguez, Betty Evaro, Robert Rodriguez.
