Socorro Evaro, 88, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2022, in Odessa.
Socorro was born in Los Herrera, Durango, Mexico to Pedro and Ventura Quinteros on October 08, 1933. She married H.B. Evaro on February 14. She worked as a housekeeper for 20 plus years and was a CNA nurse at the Pecos Nursing Home years prior.
Socorro was a very hardworking, outgoing, and courageous woman. She loved to knit, spend time in her garden, and cook hearty meals for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her presence will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Socorro is preceded in death by one son, David Evaro, parents Pedro and Vetura Herrera Quinteros.
Socorro is survived by her husband, H.B. Evaro, two sons, Arturo Evaro and John Evaro and one daughter, Benita Rodriguez. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10 A.M. to 9 pm, with a Rosary service at 7:30 P.M at the Pecos Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 10 A.M. Friday, February 4, 2022 at the Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church and interment following the service to the Barstow Cemetery in Barstow, Texas.
Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
