Memorial Service of Shirley Carolyn Chaddick (Flowers), 84, of Toyah, Texas, will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 10:00AM at the Balmorhea Methodist Church in Balmorhea, Texas, with Pastor Ron Mouser officiating. Burial to follow at Toyah Cemetery.

Shirley Carolyn Flowers Chaddick was born November 15, 1941 to Gladys Marie Flowers and Cecil Flowers in Brownwood, Texas. She married the love of her life Marcus Lee Chaddick. She had a strong work ethic. Shirley and her husband owned Toyah Truck Stop and built Mark’s Asphalt Cowboy in Toyah, Texas, a restaurant they owned for 21 years.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Marcus Chaddick, parents, sisters, Joy Ellen Gass and Sharon Jeanette Sanchez.

Shirley is survived by her only child; daughter Julie Lewis and husband Barry, brother Lonnie Flowers, one sister Kay Stewart along with two grandchildren James Rhett Crawford and Julia Rae Crawford along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home.
