Sergio Lopez Castro

Sergio Lopez Castro was born in Cd. Guerrero, Chihuahua, to Fernando Castro Molina and Aida Lopez on May 24, 1950. He married Maria Cruz Castro on May 9, 1983, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He worked as a truck driver and repair technician for Dawson Geophysical Company for 35 years.

Sergio was caring, loving, and hardworking. His selflessness was admired by everyone who knew him, and he was a strong, God-fearing man.

Sergio is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Cruz Castro. He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Amy Rivera and husband Luis; Jaime Navarette and wife Veronica; Yvonne Herrera; Helen Fuentez and husband Manuel; Brenda Hegar and husband Louis; and Betty Ornelas. Sergio is also survived by 17 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jaime Navarette, Julian Navarette, Eduardo Garcia, Ricardo Garcia, Isaiah Fuentez, and Manuel Fuentez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Pecos Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
