Ruben F. Carrasco 72 of Pecos passed away Thursday August 13, 2020 at his residence. He was born July 30, 1948 in Pecos, to Vitorio and Maria Flores Carrasco. He married Yolanda Rodriguez January 2, 1972 in Pecos. He was a Christian Catholic and retired auto mechanic. Ruben loved tinkering with anything that had a gas engine. Loved fishing especially at the Balmorhea Lake. He loved taking his family out cruising in his younger years listening to the oldies music and loved dancing. He would wear his turquoise shirt, Dickies pants and his nice buffed cleaned Stacy Adams shoes. He enjoyed eating his favorite homemade tortillas with beans and of course it had to have spicy chile in it. But most of all he loved his wife, children and grandchildren. Dad you will be missed dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Victoria Renteria and Rosa Carrasco.
Ruben is survived by his wife Yolanda R. Carrasco of Pecos, daughters Monica Molina and husband Mark, Ruby Franco and husband Jesus, sons Lorenzo and Ruben Jr. Carrasco, sisters Maria Martinez and husband Joe, Antonia Arenivas and husband Alvino, and Anita Montano, brothers Ismael and Juan Carrasco all from Pecos.
Ruben also leaves to cherish his memory 7-grandchildren Lorenzo Jr., Esteban, Timothy, Enrique, Jaden, Brianna, and Zavier, 1- Great granddaughter Ariahlyn Rae also several nieces and nephews.
DUE to Covid-19 visitation is set for 40 persons only Tuesday August 18, 2020 from1pm-4pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Masks are required and six feet social distancing guidelines apply, visitation also on Wednesday August 19, 2020 from 9am-4pm with a rosary recited at 2pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel same guidelines apply.
Graveside services are set for 10 am Thursday August 20, 2020 at Mount Evergreen Cemetery with Father Jose Dela Cruz officiating. Social distancing guidelines apply at cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Enrique Franco, Tim Carrasco, Esteban Carrasco, Ben Montano, Mario Carrasco, Ruben Renteria and Honorary pallbearer Zavier Carrasco.
