Rosa Ortega

Rosa Elva Ortega, 62, of Midland passed away on February 1, 2015 at her home in Midland TX.

Rosary service will be on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Pecos Funeral Home from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, with Father Fabian Marquez officiating. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Rosa was born in San Antonio del Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Jose and Maria Alvarado on July 20, 1952. Her family moved to Pecos where Rosa graduated from Pecos High School. In August of 1974 Rosa married Joseph Flores Ortega in Pecos. Mrs. Ortega worked as a phone operator for Walmart for 29 years, she was the voice of Walmart in Midland, TX. Rosa was a strong loving and hardworking Mother, Grandmother and Sister. Rosa was not one to worry about her self, she always placed the needs of others above her own. In her grand-daughters words She was an awesome, amazing grandmother and mother.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husband Jose Flores Ortega, and her brother Ismael V. Alvarado.
Rosa is survived by her three children Priscilla Ortega, and Husband Jesse, Eric Ortega, and wife Christal, and Jesse Ortega and wife Alanna. Her Brothers Raul Alvarado, Joe Alvarado, and Roy Alvarado; sisters Antonia Munzz, Gloria Fuentes, Olivia Roame, Ana Maria Garcia. Rosa is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be; Joe Alvarado, Roy Alvarado, Isreal Matta, Jay Ortega, Raul Alvarado, Mannel Muniz, Jesse Ortega and Eric Ortega.

Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society and The Allison Cancer Center in Midland TX.
