It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rosa S. Cedillo, who left us peacefully on September 25, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on September 6, 1944, in Pecos, Texas, Rosa was the cherished daughter of Florentino and Paula Salcido. 

Rosa's life was a testament to love, faith, and community service. She married her devoted husband, Santiago Cedillo, on March 13, 1964, in Pecos. Together, they built a life filled with love and generosity, actively engaging in local events such as the 16th of September festivities, Night in Ole Pecos and the annual garage sale. Rosa was a leader of the Santa Rosa Prayer Group, where her nurturing spirit and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on all who knew her. 

A gifted cook, Rosa delighted her family and friends with her culinary skills, particularly her cherished asado and aromatic chile verde. Her Thanksgiving dinners were legendary, a celebration of togetherness that reflected her deep love for family. 

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Florentino and Paula Salcido, as well as her brothers Frank and Ismael Salcido, and sister Rachel Natividad. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Santiago Cedillo; her children, Sebastian and Rebecca Cedillo; grandchildren Matthew and Sebastian Daniel Cedillo; and her brother Felix Salcido.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 12:00PM to 9:00PM at Pecos Funeral Home with Rosary to be held at 7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be held at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10:00AM with burial to follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.

Pallbearers serving will be Frank Salcido, Matthew Cedillo, Felix Ortiz, Chris Primo, Steven Natividad, Zacary Rayos. As we say farewell, we find comfort in the love she shared and the memories that will forever remain in our hearts. Rosa Cedillo—your light will continue to shine brightly among us.
