Robert (Bobby) Clinton, 69, passed away Sunday July 23, 2017 peacefully at his home in Pecos, Texas. Robert was born on July 9, 1948 to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clinton, Jr. in Pecos.
He graduated from Pecos High school in 1966 and joined the United States Navy in 1967 where he served as a Data Systems Specialist until 1977.
After he left the navy Robert returned to his home state of Texas and worked for Harris corporation before retiring in 1989.
After then he returned to Pecos and began his career with Western Wireless. Robert loved working with the public and believed in providing the highest customer care. It was not unlike him to meet someone in the grocery store and walk out friends with them.
Robert enjoyed his life to the fullest. Always willing to try new things and make everything an adventure. He found his spirituality with God in the Mountains of Fort Davis where he would enjoy the peace and serenity.
The phrase " I Can't" was not in his vocabulary and he taught his daughter the same. He would always say how do you know if you haven't try and if you tried and you can't did you really want it that bad.
His love for animals showed his caring and calming side. He believed all animals were God's Creatures and also had a purpose on this earth.
He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. Up until the last few days of his life he kept asking when the football game was on. In the Clinton Household things were arranged during the football season in order to watch the game.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Frances Clinton, sister Kimberlee and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by wife Karen Capers Clinton of Kerrville, Daughter Kimberley Morales of Pecos, brother Steve Clinton (wife Bambi) of Midland and 2 grandsons, Bobby and Bryan.
The family wishes to thank American Home Health and Hospice for thier wonderful care they gave to Robert, Pecos Valley Rural Health Clinic who were there for his daughter's emotional support and gave her reasons to laugh during a difficult time. Especially Whitney, Pete, Isabel, Elisa, Isis and Samantha. Special thanks to Dr. Gorman who supported the family during this difficult time and of course Dr. McIntire for his continues and passionate care he gave to Robert.
