Richard Briones Dominguez

The Lord called our father, Ricardo Briones Dominguez, of Pecos, Texas home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. 

Ricardo Dominguez was born in Presidio, Texas to the late Ynes Dominguez and Nestora Briones on February 14th, 1937. Ricardo Domiguez married Florentina Sais on September 1st, 1962, in Pecos Texas. She preceded him in death December 2021. He was a resident of Pecos for 76 years having moved from Kermit, Texas. He was a retired construction worker for Bowden Construction. Ricardo had great faith in God, showing it by being a devoted husband and a family man. He loved to tell jokes and stories making everyone feel welcomed at their home. He never met a stranger that he wasn’t ready to spend hours making conversations with. He was always willing to help his children as well as other family members with his construction skills. He enjoyed spending time with the boys watching the Dallas Cowboys games. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren with their horses, UTVs, and watching wrestling sports.

Richard Dominguez is survived by daughter Annete D. Mendoza of San Angelo, Texas, son Michael Dominguez and daughter Bonnie Salcido (Ronnie) both of Pecos, Texas. Ricardo is also survived by three sisters Francisca Armendariz, Denton Tx, Eloisa Dominguez, Dixon, California, Raquel Lopez, Kermit Texas and one brother Eduardo Dominguez, El Paso Texas, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Ashley Mendoza (Jerry), San Angelo Texas, Augustine Ricardo Domiguez, Austin Texas, Alexcia Mendoza, San Antonio Texas; Brandon Dominguez and Mickaela Dominguez, Pecos Texas and 1 great granddaughter Athena G. Lopez, San Angelo Texas.

Viewing will be held on Monday, June 9th, from 9:00am - 6:00pm with the Rosary following at 7:00pm at the Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 10th at 10:00am, at Santa Rosa de lima Church. Burial will follow at Green Wood Cemetery.

Pallbearers for Richard will be: Brandon Dominguez, Augustine Mendoza, Robert Towns, Ramon Berzoza, Rick Jaso, Luke Serrano, Jerry Lopez, Raul Renteria, Jesus Ruiz and Angel Ramirez.

Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
