Petra Gonzales, 83 of Barstow TX, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 in Pecos, Texas.
Visitation was held Sunday, November 04, 2018 from 1 pm - 9 pm, and on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
A rosary will be said on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 7:30pm at Pecos Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Barstow TX, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Barstow Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
Petra was born August 2, 1935 to Silvestre and Rita Gomez and was married to Jose Gonzales. Petra attended school in El Paso, TX and was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and a Catholic.
Petra is proceeded in death by her parents Silvestre and Rita Gomez, her husband The Late Jose Gonzales and Brother Silvestre Gomez Jr.
She is survived by her two sons Ramon Gonzales, Ricardo Gonzales and wife Margie of Barstow, TX, her sisters Jessie Rodriguez, Juanita Paredes and Josie Villalva all of El Paso TX, four Grandchildren Rudy DeAnda, Ricky Jr, Danny and Danielle Gonzales, six great- grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include great grandchildren Rudy DeAnda Jr, Nathan DeAnda, Avery Hurtado, Adrian Hurtado, grandson Danny Gonzales and nephew Patrick Gonzales.
The family of Petra Gonzales wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Pecos Nursing Home, Dr. Serrano and the staff of Reeves County Hospital, Pecos Funeral Home, and Our Lady Refuge Catholic Church and all members who assisted with all services.
