Norberto Legarda

Norberto R. Legarda, 83, of Pecos, TX passed away on July 2, 2015 in Pecos.
Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Pecos Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church officiated by Father Jose de la Cruz Longoria. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery.
Norberto was born in Mexico to Luis and Juvencia Legarda on June 16, 1932. He married Maria Gutierrez on August 5, 1960 in Pecos, TX. He worked as a farm laborer for many years. He was a Catholic and member of the Santa Rosa Saturday evening choir for many years. He was known as a happy person and known to pull occasional pranks. He never knew a stranger and was loved by many. Norberto loved music, which he expressed thru playing his guitar and singing
Norberto was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, and one grandson Geoffrey Pacheco.
Norberto is survived by spouse of 55 years Maria Legarda , six children, Jose and spouse Nancy Legarda, Hilda and husband Andy Machuca Sr., Sergio Legarda, and Nolberto Legarda Jr. and spouse Irene Legarda, Jaime and spouse Yolanda Legarda, Yolanda and husband Fernando Pacheco, one brother Octavio Legarda Sr., one sister Ramona Meza, 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Andy Machuca Jr, Julian Machuca, Darrell Machuca, Anthony Legarda, Krystal Legarda, Valerie Mendoza.
