Nathaniel “Big O” Fobbs, age 66, of Pecos, passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2026 at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday, April 29th, at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, April 30th at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Christopher Fobbs of Temple Baptist Church of Dumas Tx officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Pecos Funeral Home.

Nathaniel was born in Pecos, Tx, and was a lifelong resident. He was born to Nathaniel Fobbs Sr and Ella Mae Davis on March 20th, 1960. He was a Pecos High School graduate and an all around good athlete involved in sports, basketball being his favorite. He participated when he could in the summer sports leagues and was a regular at the old Pecos gym where many tournaments were held. He worked for Freeport (Duval) for over 19 years until it closed. He drove for All Aboard America for a good many years through all his job opportunities, enjoying the places it took him to. After Freeport he pursued an over the road career that led him to work for Plains Market for 16 years where he finished his career as a truck supervisor in the Pecos District. He worked hard for his family and was dedicated to his drivers and company. He married Lupe Davis in April of 2005 and they have been married for 21 year. He was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, threatening to change teams every season. He loved his Lakers and enjoyed watching his favorite players in the playoffs. He loved getting on his motorcycle for a drive. Hunting was his most favorite pastime, going on many hunting trips making sure to take his newest rifle to target. He loved to piddle around the yard and spend time with the grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Hattie Smith, his parents, Nathaniel Fobbs, Sr. and Ella Mae Henderson, brothers Booker T Fobbs and Wesley Dixon and son Kendrick Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Lupe Davis, his children, Nathaniel Fobbs, III, Christopher Fobbs and Jennifer Fobbs, brother John L Davis and sister Pamela Dixon, grandchildren Cash, Jace, Cason, Elijah, Isaiah, Kanan, Sebastian, Guadalupe, Gregorio, Rosario and Ivory. A host of Nieces and Nephews

Pallbearers are Myron Jenkins, Marcel Jenkins, Makiye Jenkins, JaQuan Richardson, Randy Lozano, Noel Tarin, Arturo Nabarrette and Juan V Prieto Jr. Honorary pallbearers are John L Davis, Elijah Cochran, Isaiah Moore, Nathaniel Fobbs, III and Christopher Fobbs.
