Michael Blanchard

Michael Dennis Blanchard, 74 years old of Pecos, Texas passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2016. Funeral services will be officiated by Deacon Ruben Reyes at 3:00pm Friday February 26, 2016 at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel in Pecos, Texas.

Dennis was born February 10, 1942 in Pontiac, Michigan to Anna Maureen Blanchard and Robert Oliver Blanchard.

Dennis started school in Lincoln Park, Michigan, moved to Pecos, Texas in 1956 (where his parents bought the Lazy F Motel), and then finished school at Allen Military Academy in Bryan, Texas.
Dennis then purchased and operated a machine shop in Arlington, Texas where he met and married Carolyn Deloach in 1968 and helped raise his step daughter Wendy Thomas.

Dennis sold his business in Arlington and moved back to Pecos, around 1986, and married Isabelle de Brouwer in 1989. They had two children, Michael and Lenora, and together managed the Pecos airport for many years.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his children Michael Blanchard of Midland and Lenora Blanchard of Pecos, his step daughter Wendy Thomas of Dallas, his brother James (Jim) Blanchard of Pecos, his sister Leslie Blanchard of San Marcos, several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
