Merce Quintana Ornelas, 88 Passed away on September 14, 2016 at Ward County Memorial Hospital in Monahans Texas.
Rosary will be held on Monday September 19,2016 at 7:30pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass will be held on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at 10:00 am, at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic church in Pecos Texas. With Father De La Cruz Officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery.
Merce Quintana Ornelas was born on September 24, 1927 in Fort Stockton, Texas. Dolores Sosa Quintana and Concepcion Rayos Acosta Quintana.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus A. Ornelas, sons Jesus Ornelas. JR, Ricardo Ornelas, and Oscar Ornelas, daughter Maria Celia Ornelas, sister's, Juana Quintana and Angela Olivas, and brother Jose Quintana.
Merce is survived by her children, Guadalupe Machuca and husband Guadalupe, Angelina Sanchez and husband Frank, Lydia Prieto and husband Jesus, and Raymundo Ornelas SR.. She is also survived by her daughter in law's Patricia Ornelas and Estella Ornelas. Also survived by fourteen grandchildren Adan Machuca Sr., Christina Machuca, Audra Woods, Jacob Sanchez, Isaac Prieto, Diana Rodriguez, Jesse Prieto, Dolores Ornelas, Rachel Ornelas, Raymond Ornelas JR., Richard Ornelas, Oscar Ornelas JR., Stephanie Ornelas, and Katherine (Nikki) Ornelas. Also survived by her sixteen great grandchildren Adan Machuca JR. , Grace Machuca, Everett Machuca, Aaron Machuca, Madelyn (Mady) Sotelo, Brandon Woods, Ashley Ornelas, Alexa Ornelas, Eric Ornelas and Eva Mari Ornelas. Survived by one sister Celestina Q. Ornelas.
Merce was a lifelong resident of this area, with her last few years as a resident of the Monahans Managed Care Center. She was a homemaker and a mother to all of her children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
