Mary Perea, affectionately known as "Weya" by her beloved grandchildren and "Mere" by her cherished siblings, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 9, 2025, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on May 29, 1942, in Pecos, Texas, to Guadalupe Rodriguez Orona and Baldomero Natividad Perea, Mary's life was a beautiful reflection of love, resilience, and creativity. She was the devoted wife of Alfonso Levario and a loving mother to Cynthia Fuentes and Saul Levario, raising her children with deep devotion and care in the community she called home.
Mary's hands created more than just flower arrangements - they crafted moments of joy and comfort for countless people. As a talented professional florist and proud business owner, her artistry bloomed in every bouquet and blossom she touched. Her work was her gift to the world, a quiet and graceful expression of beauty that will live on in the memories of all who knew her.
Music flowed through Mary's soul. It was her refuge, her celebration, and her way of connecting generations. Her family will forever carry that passion, finding her presence in every note and lyric, especially in the songs that remind them of her love, laughter, and strength.
To know Mary was to feel unconditional love. Her kindness was unwavering, her spirit generous, and her heart full. She lived a full and honest life - embracing both its hardships and joys with grace and humility.
Mary is survived by her son, Saul Levario, her grandchildren Angela Fuentes, Liza Soraiz, Nico Fuentes, Cristian Levario, and Esteban Levario; her beloved siblings Teresa Rodriguez, Lucia Pallanes, Angela Perea, Carmen Cross, Tuly Vasquez, and Fernando Orona, Jr. She is now reunited in heaven with her husband Alfonso Levario, her daughter Cynthia Fuentes, and her brothers Salvador Perea, Frank Perea, and José Perea.
