Maria Elena Lujan

Maria Elena Lujan, 85, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was called to her eternal rest on April 16, 2026. Born on March 8, 1941, in Tres Casas, CHH, Mexico, to Victorio and Lilia Aguilar, Maria Elena filled every moment of her life with love, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

She leaves behind her cherished children: Alejo Lujan Jr. and Katia, Nancy Lujan, Anabela Lujan, and Osbaldo Lujan and Karen, along with her treasured grandchildren: Crystal Yvette Perez and Matthew, Alejo Lujan III, Anthony Lujan, Angelia Lujan, Andrea Lujan, Montana Solis and Kassandra, Nirvanna Solis, and Arthur Lujan. Maria Elena is also survived by her siblings, Ruben Aguilar, Guillermina Pardo, and Josefina Moreno, along with many nieces, nephews, and her beloved friend, Cecilia. Her legacy continues through her nine great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her spirit within them.

Maria Elena was a remarkable woman, profoundly dedicated to her loved ones. With her extraordinary skills as a seamstress, she created beautiful wedding dresses and even crafted a special outfit for the iconic singer Selena. After her husband’s passing, she became a driving force for her family, supporting them through her entrepreneurship and resilience.

A reflection of her strength and grace, Maria Elena lived her 85 years with deep love for her family, always ensuring they were cared for and cherished. Her journey began in a little ranch in Mexico, and she and her husband built a life together in the United States, working in California’s fields to provide a better future for their family.

In memory of Maria Elena, visitation will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 1:00PM to 9:00PM at Pecos Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 25, 2026 at 10:00AM at Pecos Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Pecos, Texas. 

We reflect on Maria Elena’s life as one filled with selflessness, love, and strength. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
