Maria "Jimmie" Contreras

Maria "Jimmie" Contreras, 85, of Pecos, Tx passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, very peacefully. Jimmie was born in Balmorhea, TX. on July 25, 1939 to Rosa Hernandez Muniz. Jimmie was a life time Pecos resident and a Catholic, she loved cooking and spending time with her family.

Jimmie is preceded in death by her spouse Pilar J. Contreras Sr., her sisters; Candelaria Dominguez, Dora Zaragoza, her brothers; Ray, Adan, Salvador, Dolores and Manuel Muniz, and her beloved mother Rosa Muniz. She also reunites with two grandsons Shay Sykes and Uriah Contreras.

Jimmie is survived by her daughters; Diana (Joe) Ortega, Lori (Bobby) Natividad, and Rosa (Mario) Nunez, her sons; Armando (Chela) Contreras, Ruben Contreras, Junja (Vera) Contreras, Albert Contreras, and Hector (Dezi) Contreras, her sisters; Monce Acosta, and brothers; Jesus (Elvira) Muniz, and Chuco Muniz. Jimmie will be missed by her 22 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grand children.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Nunez, Chance Contreras, Albert Contreras Jr., P.J. Contreras Jr., Alonzo Contreras, Jimmy Tarrango, Remy Tercero, and Ruben Contreras Jr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Pecos Funeral Home from 11 am to 9 pm with Rosary at 7 pm.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 4, 2024 at  2 PM  at Saint Catherine's De Sienna Catholic Church with Interment following to Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Pecos, TX.
