Manuel Lara “Lincoln” Licon 66, of Pecos passed away Friday March 13, 2020 at Focus Care Nursing Home. He was born November 16, 1953 in Marfa, Tx. to Severiano Licon Sr and Irene Lara Licon. He was a pumper in the oilfield and a Christian Catholic.
Lincoln was known to be funny and often shared with people "Colorado" jokes. He liked cooking asado, and his specialty deer meat, he loved dancing, and often he enjoyed natures medicine which he would cover the smell by cooking bacon. Lincoln was an avid Dallas Cowboy and LA Laker fan and was a supporter of the Pecos Eagle baseball and football team. He coached little league baseball in his younger years. He had a special bond with his son he would call him his brotha and Sarah was a big part of his sports life. He also had a softer part of his life, he loved his grandchildren and Nancy was considered to be his favorite but only kidding. Dad you will be dearly missed
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rachel Ann Licon, sister Belia Montoya, brothers Severiano Jr. and Armando Licon.
Manuel is survived by his wife Silvanna Hernandez od Pecos, Tx, sons David Licon and Anthony Lopez and wife Anna all of Pecos, Tx. daughters Crissy Cordova and husband Efren of Barstow, Tx., Marrisa Cardenas and husband Joseph of Pecos, Tx., Nancy Licon of Eastland, Tx and Sarah Lopez of Pecos, Tx. sisters Maria Cobos of Monahans, Tx, Poly Munoz and Cruz Licon both of Pecos, Tx. brothers Daniel Licon and wife Julia of Odessa, Tx. and Alberto Licon an d wife Linda of Lubbock, Tx.
Lincoln leaves to cherish his memory 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter on the way.
Visitation is set for Tuesday March 17, 202 from 9am-9pm with a rosary at 7:30pm at Pecos Funeral Home chapel.
Mass will be celebrated 10am Wednesday March 18, 2020 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church with Father Jose Dela Cruz officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood cemetery.
