Manuela Garcia

Manuela Gomez Garcia, 91, of Barstow, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2018 in Pecos, Texas.

Visitation will be at Pecos Funeral Home, beginning at 12:00 PM, to 9:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018. Rosary will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, at 7:30 PM the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be held at Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas at 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 with Fr. Valentin Cota Officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Pecos, Texas.

Manuela was born January 8, 1927 in Presidio, Texas to Eusebia Chavez and Paz Gomez. Manuela married Dionisio Garcia on November 11, 1944 in Barstow, Texas. She was a lifetime homemaker, devout Catholic and member of the Guadalupanas. She most enjoyed attending any event her grandchildren/great grandchildren participated in.

Manuela was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Robert Gomez, Alberto Gomez and Trinidad Gomez, one sister, Maria Gutierrez, one Grandson, Michael Garcia, one great grandson, Nick Gutierrez and a Son in Law, Ramon Contreras.

Manuela is survived by her husband Dionisio, brothers Julian Gomez, Felix Gomez and Agustin Chavez, children Hortencia Contreras; Delma Lerma and Husband Herny; Lupe Garcia; Norma Garnto and husband Vaughn, 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Pall Bearers will be her beloved grandsons, Tony Contreras; Chris Lerma; Gerald Garcia; Jaime Lerma; Timothy Garcia; Christopher Garnto and Brandon Garnto.
