Manuel Tercero Vasquez, 71, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on 12/9/2021 in Pecos, Texas.

Manuel was born Bargado, Texas to Margarita Espinoza and Presiliano Vasquez on 12/9/1950. He went to school at Balmorhea. He married Irma Jasso on February 10,1971 in Pecos, Texas. He graduated from Balmorhea High School. He played basketball during his high school years, was voted homecoming King. He was a mechanic for Self Employed for (46 years. He was a veteran and served in the Army, from 1971-1974. He was station in Germany right after he graduated from High School. He was involved in he was a devoted catholic, he was known as the “Chile Man” he loved to sell the famous Pecos cantaloupes and watermelons in the summer. He loved to give a helping hand, he loved to fish and play Pool, he loved to listen and dance to his Tejano artis Nick Villarreal. His love and happiness were his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Manuel is preceded in death by his son Mario Vasquez, his mother Margarita Espinoza, his father Presiliano Vasquez, his wife Irma Jasso Vasquez, and grandson Jonathan Albert Aguilar.

Manuel is survived by his uncle Angel Moreno of Balmorhea Tx, sister Gloria Juarez of Odessa, Tx, brother Ray Espinoza of Alpine, Tx, daughter’s Sylvia Vasquez-Zapata of Austin, Tx, Lupe Vasquez Aguilar of Odessa, Tx, Patricia Elena Vasquez from Pecos, Tx, Oliva Vasquez Jimenez of Austin, Tx, Andreana Ponciano Odessa, Tx, and sons Manuel Vasquez Jr of California, Juan Valentine Vasquez, Martin Vasquez, Jimmy Ray Vasquez all from Pecos, Tx, He had 21, grandchildren 5, great grandchildren 4, step grandchildren.

Son in law Marcos Adrian Jimenez Pineda, of Austin, Tx and Anthony Ponciano of Odessa, Tx.

Pallbearers will be Marin Vasquez, Patricia Elena Vasquez, Leonard Jr Zapata, Timothy Justin Zapata, Jonathan Brandon Vasquez, Alejandro Vasquez, Aaron Mathew Gonzales, Joseph Martinez, Ethan Michael Vasquez, Nickolas Vasquez, Derick Vasquez, Ismael Vasquez, Gary Juarez and David Juarez.

First Viewing in Pecos, Tx, December 15, 2021at 9am-3pm at Pecos Funeral Home, second viewing 5pm-7pm in Balmorhea, Tx at King of Christ Church followed by the Rosary at 7pm also at King of Crist Church in Balmorhea, Tx.

December 16,2021 Mass will be held at 10:00 am at King of Crist Church in Balmorhea, Tx.
