Manuel Jasso Patiño Jr. (AKA Chito) of Pecos, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in his hometown of Pecos, Texas.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Pecos Funeral Home from 9:00AM to 9:00PM with Rosary to be held at 7:00PM. Mass will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 10:00AM at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas with burial to follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.

Chito was a catholic born in Pecos, Texas to Manuel and Eva Patiño on March 1, 1952. He attended school in Pecos. He married Guadalupe A Patiño on February 8, 1975, in Pecos, Texas at the Santa Rosa De Lime Catholic Church. He worked various jobs in the oilfield and roustabout. Doing upholstery as a side hobby. His latest job was at Badger Services where he retired after many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son brother, and friend to many.

He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Chito loved to play lottery tickets, dominoes and chess. He enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune as well.

He is preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe A. Patiño, his father Manuel O Patiño, and his brother Robert Patiño.

Chito is survived by his children, Jerry Patiño, Jeffrey & Eva Patiño, Mayra Patiño and Hector Parez and Patricia Patiño. His grandchildren are Jasmine, Sophia, Jeffrey Jr., Jimmy, Brandon, Austin, Jeremiah, Zyran, Nathaniel and Aiden. His sisters Mary Jane and husband Joe Sotelo and Belinda Adame, one brother Danny Patiño. He also leaves to cherish his memory, nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Patiño, Jeffrey Patiño, Brandon Patiño, Austin Patiño, Jeremiah Prieto, Zyran Kelly, Nathaniel Saenz, and Aiden Patiño with honorary pallbearer Hector Perez.

Memorials can be given to the Patiño Family. The family would like to thank Reeves Regional Hospital, Home Health and Hospice and the Pecos Funeral Home. They would also like to thank the Sotelo family and all our family and friends. He loved everyone. God Bless.
