MacArthur B. Pineda 76 of Pecos passed away Monday June 22. 2020 in Odessa at Medical Center Hospital. He was born July 25, 1943 in Fort Stockton, Tx to Toribio Acosta and Angela Burgess Pineda. He was a retired truck driver and Christian Catholic. MacArthur Pineda married Dora Talamantez June 15, 1967 in Pecos they just celebrated 53 years of marriage. He also served in the United States Army and is a Vietnam Veteran.
MacArthur loved helping people all around town, he loved dressing up and playing the part of Santa Clause during the Christmas season. He loved bar-b quieng and listening to his scanner. He loved letting people know it was him when backing up with his car because of his back up whistle he had. But most of all he loved his 4 grandboys. He will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Nancy P Reynolds, and son MacArthur Jr.
MacArthur is survived by his wife of 53 years Dora T. Pineda of Pecos, sons Steven C. Pineda of Pecos, and Edward T. Spurlock II of Odessa, sisters Eloisa Vasquez-Florez and husband Alfredo of Odessa, and Elodia Chavez and husband Jesse of Florence, Ca. brother Ismael Acosta of Howard, Ca.
DUE to COVID-19 visitation is set for 75 persons only Thursday June 25, 2020 from 11am-4pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are set for 10am Friday June 26, 2020 at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors William and Virginia Norris officiating. Same COVID-19 guidelines apply.
