Luis Lara Ortega 74, of Pecos, Texas passed away on Oct 17, 2016 at University Medical Center in Lubbock Tx.
Visitation will be held Wednesday Oct. 19, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday Oct. 20, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Rosary will be held at Santa Rosa Catholic Church at 7:30 PM on Thursday Oct 20, 2016.
Mass will be held on Friday Oct. 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with Ft. De La Cruz Officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
Luis was born on Oct. 10, 1942 in Pecos Texas to David C Ortega and Martina l Ortega. He went to school in Pecos Tx. he married Carla Salas on May 5 in Pecos Texas. He was a Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was Catholic.
Luis was preceded in death by his wife Ramona Villalon Ortega.
Luis is survived by his wife Carla G Salas; a daughter Gloria O Flores and husband Ruben M Flores and a Son Sammy Villalon.
Brother Joe Ortega, Carlos Ortega, and David L Ortega; Sisters Maria Elena Olivas, Terresa Campos and Betty Rodriguez.
8-grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
