Lucille Burgan

Lucille Lucy Dodd Burgan, 94 of Monahans, passed away on February 16, 2014 in Colorado City.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery, with Larry Bennett of Immanuel Baptist Church Monahans, Texas. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Lucy was born in Rosalie, Texas to John Bell and Maggie Bell on April 29, 1919. She went to school at Rosalie. She married Nelson Burgan. Lucy worked for many years as the Postmaster for Orla Post Office. She was involved in Reeves County Home Demonstration, and the Orla Baptist Church. She was a Christian with a sweet sprit.

Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, Nelson, and son Eddie. Lucy is survived by her nephew Johnny Dodd and niece Peggy Treadwell, many great nieces and nephews.
