Obituary

Louis Earl Eisenwine, age 91 of Andrews, Texas, passed away on September 15, 2026. Louis was born in Pecos, Texas on December 21, 1934 to Norman A Eisenwine and Annevlyn Roberson Eisenwine. He was born into a ranching family, the oldest of five children. They owned ranch land in Reeves County, running cattle and horses. His family also owned the local Studebaker and Rambler dealership in Pecos that later became Plymouth, Chrysler, Jeep. As he got older, Louis often worked for his parents on the ranch while they handled the dealership.

Louis graduated from Pecos High School in 1953. He was an All-American football player and attended Rice University in Houston, Texas on a football scholarship. In addition to playing football at Rice, he was also in the ROTC program and after graduation in 1957 immediately entered the Navy as an officer. He travelled throughout the Mediterranean on an aircraft carrier, the USS Randolph, from 1957 to 1961.

After leaving the Navy, he entered into the FBI in 1962 and served as a Special Agent until retirement in 1985. He was stationed in various areas including Buffalo, NY, Pittsburgh, PA, Washington DC and Dallas, TX. He also served on a congressional committee in the Pacific Islands and Washington State.

Louis married Lois Jean McClung in 1967 in West Virginia. They had one daughter, Sarah Kelly, born October 29, 1971. Lois Jean passed away in 1986.

After retirement from the FBI, he worked for the State of Texas Department of Human Services investigating welfare fraud. He lived in Ennis, TX during this time and married Glenda Carol Robinson in 1988. Glenda Carol passed away in 2012.

Louis retired from his job with the State of Texas in 2010 and was living in Corpus Christi, TX. In 2013, he was reunited with his sweetheart from 1961, Billie Porter Jones of Andrews, Texas. They were married September 1, 2015. Louis moved to Andrews where he lived the remainder of his life with Billie.

Louis was a long-time member of the Catholic Church. He greatly respected his religion, and it showed in all aspects of his life. Louis was devastated by the loss of his daughter Sara in March of 2020 but he never questioned his faith during this difficult time.

He was a hard-working and fiercely independent man who treasured his family and his many friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football. Especially the Rice Owls and the Kansas City Chiefs!

Louis is survived by his wife, Billie Eisenwine, his four siblings, Norma Payne of Ennis, Marilyn Eisenwine of San Angelo, Carolyn Look of Plano and Jimmy Eisenwine of Allen. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces and cousins.

Graveside services will take place at a later date in Pecos, Texas.

At the request of the family, donations can be made to the Permian Regional Medical Center Hospice in Andrews and the West of the Pecos Museum in Pecos.
