Larry Kington

Larry Eugene Kington, 74, of Pecos, went fishing with the Lord on February 16, 2015 in Pecos, Texas.

Memorial Service for friends and family will be Thursday February 19, 2015 from 6-8pm at The Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday February 20, 2015 at The Pecos Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Serrano of Word of Hope Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Pecos Funeral Home.

Larry was born in Fabens, Texas to W.L. and Zemma Kington on January 11, 1941. He attended school in Pecos where he graduated Pecos High School. He married the love of his life Beverly Prewit on December 31, 1960 in Pecos, Texas. Shortly after marriage Larry and Beverly welcomed 2 beautiful children into the world Darla Dee and David Lamar. Larry worked as a farmer for the majority of his life. The times he wasn't farming or spending time with his beloved family he was fishing. Larry's favorite pastime was fishing.

I pray that I may live to fish
Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,

When in the Lord's great landing net
And peacefully asleep
That in His mercy I be judged

Larry is preceded in death by his father W.L. Kington, Mother Zemma Kington, Grandson David Allen Gulihur, and Wife Beverly Kington Lindemann.

Larry is survived by Daughter Darla Blackstock and husband Rocky, Son David Kington and wife Daphne, Sister Kathleen Ivy, his beloved dog "Girl", Grandchildren Cristie Cantrell, William Kington, Dustin Gulihur, Ty Kington, K'Dee Garcia, Haley Kington, Jordan Kington and Corrie Cornelison. And 7 Great-Greatchildren.

Pallbearers will be William Kington, Ty Kington, Dustin Gulihur, Matthew Lindemann, Edward Strain, Fred Tucker, Bubba Hurd, and Tim Gilbert.

Memorials may be given to a memorial of your choice. The family of Larry Kington wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the medical staff at Reeves County Hospital.
