Juan Lujan Prieto, 70 passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, in Midland Texas. Juan was born in Pecos, Texas to Angel and Dolores Prieto on December 31, 1951. He married Anita Villanueva Prieto and blessed with 52 years of marriage. Juan was employed and retired from Rowan Drilling Company after 37 years working as a driller, and tower pusher. Juan enjoed working on the showing off his cars, though out his years he was involved with many Lowrider Car Clubs the last one being Raices CC. Juan was a devoted member and an elder at the Church of Christ on 5th. St. in Pecos, Texas.
Juan is preceded in death by both his parents and several brothers and sisters. Juan was also preceded in death by his in-laws Manuel J. and Dionisia Villanueva.
Juan is survived by and will always be missed and loved by his wife Anita Prieto and three sons, Juan V. Prieto, Jaime and wife Monica Prieto and Randy Prieto.
Juan had 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren that were blessed to call him grandpa. He will always be remembered and loved by Marissa Armendariz, Adriann Prieto, Christian Prieto, Destiny Prieto, Jazelle Prieto, Nicholas Prieto, Audree Prieto, Sabastian Prieto, Bella Prieto, Alina Prieto, Rosario Prieto, Lilian Prieto, and two great grandchildren Emma Rose Reyes and Mason Mendoza.
Juan is survived by three sisters, Adela Mata and Beatrice Cook both from Odessa Texas and Carmen Prieto from Pecos Texas.
He was loved and will be greatly missed by brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter in law, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Juan V. Prieto, Randy Prieto, Jaime Prieto, Christian Prieto, Nicholas Prieto, Paul Avila Tito Montoya and Lee Chabarria.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 9:00pm at Pecos Funeral Home, with a Prayer service to held at 7:00pm
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Decemeber 3, 2022, at 10:00 am at Pecos Funeral Home with the Pastor Juan Palacios presiding. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen.
Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
