Jenella Poitevint

Jenella Mae Poitevint, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2016 at the age of 79 at Ward Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jenella Mae Morris to Dutch and Susie Morris on December 12, 1936 in Miles Texas. She was one of eight children, having 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She grew up in Sanderson, TX. After high School, Jenella married Duane Poitevint, Sr. on October 26, 1953, They lived in many places their early years, traveling with his work. But they were long time residence of Pecos, TX., calling it home. She was an active member of the Church of Christ. Jenella had a wonderful talent for Art and was an avid member of the Pecos Art Association. She did many beautiful watercolor paintings which are still enjoyed by family and friends.
She and Duane raised their two sons in Pecos, Duane Poitevint, Jr. and Scott Poitevint
She is preceded in death by her parents, all of her brothers and sisters, and her beloved husband Duane Poitevint, Sr.
She is survived by her sons Duane Poitevint, Jr and wife Kim, Morris Scott Poitevint and wife Rosie, Four grandchildren, Derrik Poitevint, Garret Poitevint and wife Tandi, Preston Poitevint, and Dylan Poitevint. Also three great-grandchildren; Sage, Clayton, and Payton.
Family will receive friend from 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home on April 22, 2016.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at Church of Christ in Pecos Texas, with Fred Dominguez Officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. at Sheffield Cemetery in Sheffield TX.
In lieu of flowers the family request your memorial to your organization of choice.
