James Acker

James Russell Acker 77, of Pecos passed away on August 19, 2016 at his residence, James was born on June 18, 1939 in Rotan, Texas to Russell Cyruss and Madie he was the youngest of four brothers Morris Dean, Wayland and Harvey.
He moved to Pecos in the Mid 50's. where he married Tommye "Suger" Fisher on May 30 1959. They had two children Russell Earl and Jaime.
James retired from the Post Office after 30 years. He was also a water well driller, carpenter, handman, farmer and fisherman and an avid Golfer. He was also a Master Mason along with his Father, brother Harvey and nephew Kevin.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Wayland Acker, and grandson James "Bubba" Acker and his best friend Woody Phillips and Larry Kington
James is survived by his Wife of 57 years Tommye "Sugar" Acker; Two Son Russell Acker and David Watson his baby girl Jaime Acker.
His grandchildren Jessica Kay Jones, Vance Elliott Acker, Donna Jo Tompkins, Clinton Russell Acker, John Paul Jones, James "Bubba" Russell Acker, Cody Cyrus Acker, and Jacob Laramie Acker. Nine Great-grandchildren
Masonic Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2016 at 10:00 Am at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Lee Ryan and Kevin Acker Officating.
