Isidro Oronoa Acosta

It is with sadness, love and profound gratitude, the family of Isidro O. Acosta, "Chilo", age 82 of Pecos,TX, passed away on October 1, 2025 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be Monday, October 6, 2025 from 9am to 9 pm, with Rosary at 7:00 pm at Pecos Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 10 am at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with burial following at Greenwood Cemetary. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Chilo was born in San Antonio del Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Matias Acosta and Maria Orona Acosta on May 15, 1943. Chilo moved to Pecos and married Anita B. Acosta in 1977. He worked in seismograph until retirement. Chilo never met a stranger and could be found at his home playing huachas with friends and family. He was a very caring man and had a hand in raising not only his children but several nephews and nieces. He will always be remembered for his smile and helping hand.

Chilo is preceded in death by his loving wife Anita, parents Matias and Maria, brother Pedro, sisters Nena and Dominga, and grandsons Albert Navarrette and Adam Lee Ybarra.

Chilo is survived by children: Richard (Curt) Orona, Luis Orona, Maricella Adame (Manuel), Crissy Acosta (Jacob) and Isidro Acosta Jr. (Chilito), Rochelle Carrasco (Frank) and Michelle Dominguez. Grandchildren: Phillip Adame, Aydan Acosta, Aaliyah Gonzales, JesseJai Gonzales, Alvaro Navarrette (Nena)and Anna Carrasco (Jr.). Siblings: Socorro Castillo, Mariano Acosta, Tula Zapata, Ramon Montes, Hilda Marquez, Delia Valles and Mague Mendoza. Best friend: Irma Jimenez for always lending a helping hand.

Pallbearers will be Manuel Adame, Phillip Adame, JesseJai Gonzales, Richard Orona, Christopher Rodriguez and Javier Castillo,
