Irene Ramos

Irene Baeza Ramos, 74, of Pecos, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. A celebration of life and burial will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Irene was born on June 28, 1945, in Marfa, TX. She was a lifetime resident of Pecos and a devout Christian, who is fondly remembered of her tenure as manager of Texaco convenience store and service station. She was preceded in passing by her mother, Natividad “Nati” Baeza; father, Acencion “Chon” Baeza and great grandson, Jonathan Margarito “Baby Jonathan” Mendoza. Survivors include her brother, Jesse “Chuy” Baeza and wife Sophia; sister, Lydia Aldrete; sister, Frances Valenzuela; sister, Barbara “Bobbi” Melendez and husband Frank; sister, Otilia “Tillie” Baeza and life partner Anna Contreras. Irene is also survived by four children; Freddie Ramos; Jesus “Chuyito” Ramos and wife Denise; Annie Ruth Ramos; Patricia Ramos Hill. In addition, she is survived by 8 grandchildren; Selena Cortez, Neka Syljemani, Jessica Ramos, Brittany Rayos, Isaac Mendoza, Isaiah Mendoza, Jonathan Mendoza and Jazlynn Hill; along with 17 great grandchildren. A graveside service is planned on Thursday April 9, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Greenwood Cemetery.
