Guadalupe Barrera, 52 of Pecos, passes away on May 24, 2019 in Odessa, Texas.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Monday, May 27 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be said at 7:30 p.m. at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Guadalupe "Lupe" Saenz Barrera was born in Pecos, Texas to Benancio and Ramona Barrera on April 3, 1967. He graduated from Pecos High School and was a self-employed laborer.
Lupe was kind and had a loving heart. He loved to garden. Everything he planted grew. Lupe loved his animals, especially his dog named Rowdy. He loved spending time with his family and never met a stranger that he didn't like. He was quick to help anyone in need. He loved to clown around and make people laugh. He loved and cared for so many people. He will be greatly missed.
Lupe is preceded in death by his father Benancio Barrera.
He is survived by his significant other, Baiba Calderon; his mother, Ramona Barrera; seven brothers, Raymond Saenz of Midland, Tx. Armando Barrera of Palestine, Tx., Greg Barrera, Oscar Barrera, Adan Barrera, Ben Barrera all of Pecos, Greg Barrera, Jr of Midland, Tx. Two sisters, Margie Gonzales of Pecos and Angie Skeens of Abilene, Tx. and Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Pallbearers will be his nephews.
