Guadalupe Valdez Barragan, 75, of Pecos passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 surrounded by her family at her home in Pecos. She was born July 29, 1938 in Mexico to Santiago and Romona Valdez. Guadalupe was a homemaker and a Catholic.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Francisca Valdez.
Guadalupe is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gilberto Barragan sons Pedro Barragan of Pecos, Fabio Barragan of Pecos, Javier Barragan of Pecos, Omar Barragan of Pecos, and Gilberto Barragan, Jr. of Pecos daughters Sonia Mendoza of Wickett, Rosa Tarango of Van Horn, Emma Lujan of Pecos, and Lorina Barragan of Pecos brothers Socorro Valdez of Lovington, New Mexico, Manuel Valdez of Lovington, New Mexico, Homero Valdez of Lovington, New Mexico, and Jesus Valdez of Portales, New Mexico sisters Cruz Hinojos of Lovington, New Mexico and Eustolia Mendoza of Lovington, New Mexico 41 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren
