Gloria Avila

Gloria B. Avila of Barstow, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 in Odessa at Medical Center Hospital.
Rosary will be held on Sunday March 29, 2015 at Pecos Funeral Home at 7:30. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday March 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Refuge in Barstow, TX with Father Fabian Marquez officiating. Burial will follow at Barstow Cemetery, Barstow TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home.
Gloria was born in Barstow on April 19, 1946, to Manuel and Louisa Bustillos. Gloria worked for the U.S. Postal Service as the Postmaster of Barstow for 38 years.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Manuel Bustillos and Louisa Contreras, grandson Ruben Lawrence Renteria, Sister Lucia Bustillos, and Brother Higinio Garcia Sr.
Gloria is survived by her husband Benny Avila, daughter Laura Renteria of Barstow; three sons Raymond Avila, Larry Avila, and Roger Avila all of Odessa. Gloria is also survived by her sister Herminia Garcia; three brothers Abel Bustillos, Arnolfo Bustillos of Barstow and Javier Ortiz of Toyah. Gloria is also survived by her grandchildren Deedra Quiroz, Samuel Avila, Christopher Avila, Kendra Renteria, Roger Avila Jr., Pablo Avila, Rodrick Renteria, Daniel Avila, and 14 great grandchildren.
