Frederico Flores Ornelas, Passed away on July 31, 2026 in Pecos, Texas

Federico Flores Ornelas was born on July 8, 1949, in Pecos, Texas, to Francisco Ornelas and Dominga Rayos. Federico was a longtime character who always had a smile on his face. He will be remembered for his kind and helpful nature, always willing to lend a hand whenever someone needed him.

His nephews and nieces loved him dearly and will forever remember his familiar words, “Do you have a mother?” Federico had a way of making those around him smile, and the memories he created with his family will continue to be cherished for generations.

Federico married Dulces Ornelas on November 1, 1967. Together, they shared 58 years of marriage and built a life surrounded by family and loved ones.

Federico was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Ornelas; stepfather, Tony Rayos; mother, Dominga Rayos; daughter, Terri Diaz Ornelas Flores; brothers, Frank Ornelas, Felix Ornelas, Esequiel Ornelas, Mike Rayos, Marcelino Ornelas, Vicente Ornelas, Bobby Ornelas, Charlie Ornelas, Harvey Ornelas, Rudy Ornelas, and Raymundo Rayos; and sisters, Elisa Gonzalez and Pilar Ornelas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dulces Ornelas; his son, Freddy Ornelas and wife, Veronica Ornelas; grandchildren, Tyler Reece Lopez, Kaleb Joel Ornelas, and Dominic Isiah Ornelas; his Grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Federico is also survived by his sisters, Carmela Prieto, Catalina Vasquez, Gloria Castaneda, Modesta Lara, Petra Ornelas, Cruz Garcia, Dora Ornelas, Syria Garcia, Prissy Ornelas, Julie Rayos, Cecilia Matta, Olga Ornelas, and Betty Ornelas; and his brothers, Alfredo Ornelas, Robert Ornelas, Carlos Ornelas, Tony Rayos, Roberto Rayos, Jose Rayos, Antonio Ornelas, Raul Ornelas, and Rey Ornelas.
