Francisco O. Sotelo Sr, 83 of Pecos passed away surrounded by family on Monday, August 31, 2015 in Pecos, Texas.

Prayer services are scheduled for Wednesday September 2, 2015 starting with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 6:00 PM and the Rosary starting at 7:00 PM
Funeral Mass will be Thursday September 3, 2015 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church, at 10:00 AM, with Father DeLa Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Pecos

Francisco Sotelo was a poor humble man but rich and full of love for his family. He was married to the love of his life for 61 years. He raised 7 children by being a farm laborer. He inspired all his children to work hard and to be honest. He spread his caring nature and integrity by example His faith in God carried him through many challenges in his life until his death.
Francisco is preceded in death by his parents Faustino and Alejandra Sotelo, two daughters Lucia Sotelo and Florina Sotelo, and his siblings Ysidra Calderon, Lauteria Marquez, Angelica Velos, Bertha Gonzalez, Miguel Sotelo, Faustino Sotelo, and Leonarda Beltran.

Francisco is survived by his wife of 61 years Leonarda E. Sotelo and their sons; Joe Sotelo and wife Mary Jane, Francisco E. Sotelo Jr., Eriberto Sotelo and wife Annette. He is also survived by his daughters Lorenza Salgado and husband Rene, Martha Pando, Araceli Hernandez and husband Sergio, and Alma Sotelo. Mr. Sotelo is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Francisco is also survived by his brothers Alvaro Sotelo, Sabino Sotelo, and Camilo Sotelo, and one sister Blasa Cano.
