With profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Eliza Tersero on December 20th, 2019.
Born in 1928 in Valentine, TX the first of 4 children born to Agapito and Efijenia Nuñez.
Always a happy young girl, busy and vibrant, a great conversationalist. Eliza married at a young age of 17 to Manuel Tersero. They had 6 children, Manuel, Becky, Crissy, Amy, Edward and Joanne. Eliza was a wonderful, exceptional mother, her children came first before anything else. With only a 3rd grade education, and losing her husband at the age of 36, she worked very hard to raise her children to be good kids.
She was a loving and giving person and never knew a stranger. Eliza loved to visit and talk. She loved watching her novelas (soap operas), Shirley Temple movies, Cantinflas and I Love Lucy…they always made her laugh.
Eliza, is survived by her brother Jesus Nuñez (wife Linda), five children and their spouses: Manuel Tersero (Delfa), Becky Spencer (Frank), Crissy Urias (Felix), Amy Marquez (Jacob), and Joanne Tersero, Daughter-In-Law Diane Tersero and seventeen Grandchildren and eighteen Great Grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Tersero and son Edward Tersero.
Our mom’s journey in life was not easy, but she was a woman of strong Faith which never faltered and her heart never surrendered. A true inspiration she was to us all every day. She will be greatly missed and forever loved with all of our hearts!
